It is important for safe and comfortable societies to make building structures
strong against natural disasters such as major earthquakes. Hence, we research
on building structures, especially steel buildings.
Our research topics include the vibration control system, beam-and-column
connection, earthquake-resistant members such as bracing, seismic response
analysis, seismic design, seismic retrofit of structures, and so on.
The laboratory is located on the 8th floor of A2 Building of the School of Engineering at Higashi-Hiroshima Campus.
